What kind of "rocker arms" are Toyota using in their engines?

Are they using the roller rocker arms ? I remember reading an article about Toyota going to a solid rocker arm (not lifter) like the ones used in the 1970ish model Chevy engines. Has anyone ever hear that? Does Toyota (or have they ever) use(d) the older type rocker arms in their NASCAR engines?

  1. Most Nascar engines are currently using shaft mount, roller fulcrum, non roller tip steel rocker arms. A few are using roller tips on the same design.  Toyota is no different.

They are not similar to the old chevy design.  Stud mounted rockers haven't been used for many years.

  2. i don't know what kind they use now, but i don't know of them ever having a push rod engine.

  3. I was going to make a joke about the Def Leppard drummer, but I stopped myself.
