What kind of "tray" ?

to store a baby food, use any normal like ice trays? or does it have to be a special baby food tray with covers?

I used gerber baby food in the plastic dishes for awhile and saved all of those. Once i got smart enough to make my own baby food I've been saving what i make in those. Works perfectly.

I have always used ice cube trays and put them in individual freezer bags...label and date them so you know how old they are. Just pop a couple out first thing and leave them to defrost in the fridge.. Then yopu can warm them up by placing the baby bowl in a bowl of hot water.
