the lady at the pet store said it was a dwarf rabbit

but i've seen pictures and her ears are too long

i am possibly thinking of a mini rex

she weighs about 3-5 pounds

name is Piper

she is the most relaxed thing i have ever seen

she doesn't bite anybody and is very cuddly

even though the lady at the pet store said she was very aggresive. her fur is very soft like velvet or maybe mink.

  1. Her coat is a total Rex or Mini Rex coat! She is about the size and weight a Mini Rex should be, but, yes. Her ears are very long. I would call her a Mini Rex. The big ears could just be a sign of bad breeding, or just the way it was born! They are very  friendly rabbits, but yes, they can be very agresive, unsocial, and hard to breed. Very cute rabbit!!! I have a Mini Rex too!!! She is really cute, but she is a bit aggresive!!

    Good Lucvk!

  2. its not a dwarf and its not a holland lop either. i'd say mini rex but the ears look a little long. could it be a cross breed?

  3. I'm also guessing she's a Rex.  But please, please PLEASE, if your thinking about buying her, PLEASE at least consider adopting from a shelter first!!!  Animals from many, many shelters are being euthanized everyday because they don't have homes.  If you adopt from a shelter, your saving TWO lives; the bunny you adopt's life, and the life of another rabbit because when you adopt a rabbit, that makes room for one more rabbit to stay there for a while.

And please, please adopt from a shelter, don't buy from pet stores.

Sorry if I'm being a little overdramatic, but I'm just sayin, if you were considering buying her.......

  4. its just a plain rex. not a mini. a rex. a very cute on too.

  5. It is not a dwarf- if her fur is like velvet than she is a Mini Rex.

She does not meet the standard for a Mini Rex as her ears are way too long. A Mini Rex's ears cannot be over 3.5 inches to show the, it is a disqualification.

She is most likely a good pet though. Mini Rex are excellant pets. They are very calm and seldom aggressive A Mini Rex should not weigh over 4.5 pounds, again that is a DQ.

I love Mini Rex, I have been raising the breed for over 0 years now. Your rabbit is the variety(color) called Tricolor. Though she doesn't have much black in her coat.

I am sorry you bought a rabbit from a petstore though, they are only interested in maiking money and know very littler about the animals they sell. They are just merchandise to them. It is always better to buy from a reputable breeder.
