Question:

What kind of racket would suit me best?

I have been playing tennis for under a year and always used some of the cheaper rackets. I am looking to invest in one, but I don't know the basics about what to look for.

I would consider myself to have a rather fast swing. Due to my grip, I put a lot of spin on the ball so it dips down really quick (often hitting near the top of the net).

What are some of the characteristics or suggestions that I should try out? What are the differences between the grips, string tension, etc?

I have actually tried a Wilson nCode n1 and I couldn't keep the ball in the court. Every hit, the ball flew pass the end line.

  1. o3 speed port is all i have to say

  2. tensions: the tighter the more control. looser means you hit  faster.

when you try out racquets try them also with a dampener (shock absorber) as they could affect the feel

racquets: go to shop and try as many rasquets as you can. try a variety of brands. THEY ALL FEEL DIFFERENT! try yonex, prince, wilson, babolat, vokl.

  3. well it seems like you want to hit the ball hard, but you cant and when you do, it goes out. There might be a few reasons why your ball cant stay on the court,

    1. string tension, you might want a racket with less string tension, so you can hit really hard. but if it still goes out, then that means you have the wrong grip.

    2. grip, if you want more top spin, then try using the grip that Nadal uses. if that does not work than that means you should change your coach, well if you have one.

    3. you keep changing your racket, just stick to one, then you will get used to it.

Keep you eye on the ball

Low - High when your swinging (if you want top spin)

when you only played under a year, you don't have to use those kind of rackets (Wilson ncode n1 )

you cant get better with just a racket(well a little) you need to keep practicing.

PS this is only my opinion, i play tennis to, you don't have to listen to me.
