  1. 'All you can eat' resturants are great, definetely not McDonald's or Burger King and such.

  2. The Cheesecake Factory is great. It's Really nice inside and I have never been in there a time where it was hard to hear. But it is a bit pricey for certain dishes.

Also you can stick to a chain like Apple bee's or El Chico.

My personal favorite places to go are like little Cafe's or off beat restaurants there always fun.. and usually not to loud.

Another thing to do is just take them for ice cream. Its not a "restaurant" but it's great cause ya'll can just sit outside for as long as you want, and just talk.

    ..Hope that help's a bit. = ]

  3. if ya wanna impress a girl ( or guy ) the melting pot is the place.... it's a bit price but worth every cent !!!

  4. Applebees, Old Chicago, any of the biggies.

  5. somewhere like romano's macaroni grill where they have paper tablecloths and give you crayons to draw on them.

or a coffee shop. somewhere where lounging/loitering is acceptable (if not encouraged).

  6. Benihana or The Melting Pot (fondue)... both are fun and take a little while to get through the meal.

  7. Someplace that's not crowded and noisy.  You want to talk, not listen to a lot of yammering in the background.

  8. sushi!! and you can get your own little private room!! and it's like finger food so you can talk and drink tea and warm sake and just get connected :-P

  9. Go to a Dinerrr=) Thats always old school fun.

  10. You definitely want to do something different so it is memorable.  I like wine bars.  They usually serve decent food, the lighting is low and romantic, and then you can try a bunch of different wines and talk about them.  If you want to go somewhere fun and not have to talk to much go to a tepanyaki type restaurant.  Thats where they cook the meal in front of you in a theatrical way and its usually a fun experience.

If you need some reviews of good places in your area go to www.citysearch.com.  They also usually have some good date ideas specific to your area.

  11. Benihannas!  The chef cooks the food in front of you for your entertainment and you can have something to talk about.

  12. cracker barrell  there is always a fire going in the fire place and it nice and cozy to sit and have a serious chat or just have a good time and the staff is as nice as can be

  13. Tapas or sushi place. They are not "full meals" so talking would be very easy in-between bites =)

  14. not fast food, not fancy

Also, try to avoid ones that blast sports or music.
