Snowboarders what kind of rider are you? where do you ride? park rat? back country? stick to the trails? Favorite trick? How long have you been riding? whats your setup... board? bindings? ..... is whipped cream part of the conspiracy? Ever been injured? anything else that defines you as a rider?

ME...

I ride a burton troop

I've been riding for 15 years

I Love riding powder out west

Jackson hole, WY and Copper Mt.

Colorado were my favorite trips

Around here (WI) the best place to go is Lutzin, MN but that is 6 hours away so Locally I go to christie MT, trollhaugen or granite peak.

I like speed more than air

I'm not real big on jump tricks, I perfer to test my courage on the big/steep double blacks and/or raw terrain.

Riding through the woods at copper Mt with my sister was dangerously thrilling =)

A funny note is that other than having the wind knocked out of me or minor bumps and bruises, I've never been injured riding but last summer I pulled a rib muscle playing golf! haha.

Excited to hear what the rest of you say!

  1. Actually i've never done that but I really want to try it sometime!

  2. I'd have to say I'm pretty much all park, except for the occasional time a year when we have a little bit of powder. I thought it was interesting to read this to find out that you are from around the similar area, I too ride Lutsin Mtn, and Troll Haugen, other than that I ride at Spirit Mtn, Hyland Hills, Powder Ridge, Tyrol Basin, and any other place in the area, its good to hear from someone in the area, take care, keep shreddin'!

  3. i love winterplace, WV. I dont really do parks, just the big slopes

  4. WOW! two other people from the midwest. I ride Spirit, Troll, Wild and Afton.

  5. i stick to the trails because my mom doesn't want me to get lost....haha i got lost in mammoth because it was snowing a lot and i had to get back to the resort becuase they were closing everything for a while until the snow storm cooled down a bit.(good thing i had a walkie talkie :]) i consider myself as a beginner/intermediate because i don't know how play in the park, haha! and i'm kind of chicken to go to the black runs. i started jumping last season though,it's fun :]. i have no tricks... i have been riding for 2 seasons(and they were awesome)

i ride in mountain high, big bear, and mammoth mountain(only twice a year for mammoth because it's a 4 hour drive) but it's awesome there.

    set up:

    bindings: burton lexa

    boots: thirty-two

    board: ride vista

mildly injured, i wasn't paying attention though(i was closing my eyes,i have no idea why), so it was my fault. it was the end of the season, so it was icey, and my board caught an edge and i fell and hit my head hard on the ice, lost my memory for a day(it was from english class, i couldn't remember what we had read the english)...that sucked. i could barely move because it hurt like h**l moving my upper body.

i have fun when i ride, and it somehow relieves a lot of stress from school(still in highschool)

  6. bear mountain freestyle/jibber
