Discipline is omni-important; first to set boundaries for young people to learn to work within, and give them a set of rules, and the training to equip/teach them self control so they can later be a self disciplined adult.

Discipline is not punishment, it is the teaching of how to function in life without having temper tantrums, or display inappropriate behavior, as well as get along with other people; to be a team player.

Everyone needs some discipline in their lives. To fit into society we have to live by its rules and boundaries. We do this by disciplining ourselves to live within these boundaries so we conform to our society.
