  1. Close contact for ALL HUNTER CLASSES,,, U/S O/F

ALL purpose is more for JUMPERS and 3 day

    To be political correct

but you can use what ever you want to ,, if your good and so is your horse You won't be judged on your saddle ,, Just how well you ride and how your horse performs

No one really knows this ,,,Only pros can do what ever they want ,,,,I rode in jumper classes with a galloping saddle.. But I was NOT being judged and I won

  2. Usually close contact saddles are designed with minimal knee rolls and padding, meaning that the rider must maintain more stringent and proper leg position on their own, without the aid of the saddle.  An all-purpose saddle tends to have deeper knee rolls and more padding, creating a firmer seat, especially well-suited for a more beginner rider.

Either saddle would be correct as far as the show ring goes, so it;s mainly comfort and personal preference.

  3. Close contact saddles are commonly used for Hunter jumping and eventing classes. All purposes are used more commonly for HUS and Equatation. I prefer the comfort of the All purpose more than the Close conatct.
