  1. The best thing to do is to speak with a fire investigator, or police investigator trained in fire investigation.

    Biggest thing is building deterioration. Weakened ceilings, walls and floor. Wear a hard hat in case stuff falls from the ceiling. Wear boots because everything is covered in soot and is probably wet from the firefighters.


  2. Western Illinois University has a fire science program - do not know how much info is available on the web.

    The precaution I can think of is to make sure the fire is extinguished before you start you investigation. LOL!
