What kind of sauce or side do you eat with fried green tomatoes

my family and i made fried green tomatoes and didn't like them too much plain. what kind of sauce do you consider dipping them in? or SOMETHING to enhace the flavor plz! something easy to either make or buy wichever one...

  1. This sounds a little crazy but we made some here at my house the other day and dipped then in ketchup. A little tomato with some more tomato. Yum


  2. Mix a few drops of hot sauce in mayo.

    If they were a little bland add more seasoning to the breading. I like to use a Cajun spice mix.

  3. a cajun remoulade sauce is good with fried green tomatoes...just spice up some thousand island with cajun spice, tarragon, hot sauce, etc.......also a roasted red pepper sauce is good with some crumbled goat cheese

  4. Usually I just eat them with salt. But if you want to put something on them I suggest you try dunking them in buttermilk ranch.

  5. Maybe a horseradish sauce?  That would spice it up a bit.
