What kind of sauces to use for vietnamese fresh spring rolls? what is the most popular?

i am not talking about the spring rolls that are fried but the spring rolls that have the fresh ingredients with the rice paper.. thanks!

  2. Soy sauce, sriracha, peanut sauce, and nuoc cham.

  3. Nuoc-Mam is the most favorite of the Vietnamese sauces.

  4. Fresh spring rolls are always served with spicy peanut sauce in Vietnamese restaurants (at least, all the Pho houses in my area serve them that way). I don't know how to make it, but I imagine that you could use peanut butter as a base and add your own spices if you wanted to make it at home.

    By contrast, fried spring rolls are served with clear chili oil that (for some reason) has shredded carrots mixed in.

    I like both variants a lot, and you might be able to find these dips pre-prepared in the "ethnic" isle of your grocery store.
