  1. a university in Py

  2. None.

  3. You don't go to a school... reason being: it's not a real job

  4. You do not need to go to school to be a paranormal investigator although there are some if you wish.  You can find info on courses at http://www.flamelcollege.org

To home school you can find many types of books on how to become a paranormal investigator.  These books will give you an idea of things that you will need to know and learn prior to starting an investigation.  Don't follow any one book to the letter as they are all good tips but not a definite.  Mesh the info you find into workable information for your own self and go from there.

  5. You dont need anything just go out and do it. And let me know if you find Elvis because we have some unfinished business but ya -Goodluck

  6. You may wish to look at the web site for the

Parapsychological Association (link below) that list the educational backgrounds of many of it's members. Most hold PhD's or other doctoral level degrees in everything from physics to psychology.

If you are talking simply about going out and investigating on your own may I suggest experience with an established  group (see link below).

Any field of study from psychology to police enforcement can be used to study the paranormal. This simply depends on what perspective you wish to use while studying a phenomena.

The book "The Paranormal Investigator's Handbook" Eds. Valerie Hope & Maurice Townsend is a good basic introduction on conducting investigations.

    Michael John Weaver, M.S.

  7. You really don't need to go to school to be one, and there aren't any special classes out there specializing in the paranormal (at least none that I've ever heard of).

I would recommend though that you take classes in psychology. The main thing about being an investigator is you need to know what to look for in order to debunk the claims that the place is haunted, which probably 90-95% of "hauntings" can be explained by other means. Knowing how the mind works and can play tricks on you, especially when you already have a preconcieved notion that a place is haunted, will be a skill that would certainly come in handy.

To learn a few things about investigating, I would suggest finding a local group of paranormal investigators and asking if you can join, or at least tag along on a few of their investigations. You will see what sorts of things go into an investigation, and they will probably be able to let you in on a few tips.

  8. none would be your best bet, as you need a open mind and schools tend to close them.
