There are two kinds that I can think of:

Sodium thiopental:  Renders you unconscious in moments.  

Potassium Chloride:  Stops the heart and causes cardiac arrest.  

I hope this is a just-want-to-know things and not a I-want-to-kill-myself thing.  If its the latter, I'm not going to say don't do it but I believe life is better than it looks.

Oh God, I hope that you are not thinking about that. I am not going to give you ideas young lady. I am a nurse and most of the time, overdoses are very painful ways to die. You ddon'tjust fall asleep and ddon'twake up. You vomit, vomit some more, stomach pain, bleeding from the stomach, racing heart and diarrhea Then if you are "lucky" you will die hours later. I have know girls take paracetamol packets of 60 pills then wait to die. You do not die for 2 to 3 weeks! of liver failiure also, by this time the girls need new livers and want to live more than anything. but it has been too late. hope that you are not one of them.please get some help, believe me, there is always hope.
