My 16 year old cousin was arrested for (all juvenile charges) breaking & entering, damage to property, obstruction of justice and fraud. He was with some kids when they broke into an abandoned school and did some damage. His fingerprints were caught on the chalkboard he wrote his name on! (IDIOT!). What kind of sentence could he get?? (We live in Wisconsin) Thank you!

  1. He wasn't with "some kids" he was the kid! I hope the punishment is harsh, something he will remember and not repeated.

  2. I'd imagine a couple years at most, but if he's lucky all he might have to do is pay for it and have a few years probation and a heck of a lot of community service.

  3. Hopefully something harsh so he doesnt forget it. If they let him off with a slap on the wrist, he will think he is untouchable and go on to commit worse crimes.

  4. If he is a first time offender, you may want to contact the prosecuting attorney about some type of pretrial intervention program to see if he is eligible.  Usually no jail time is given if he qualifies for the program.  Probation and community service.  If not, you have to look at the statutory sentencing for juveniles for Wisconsin.  Get an attorney to handle these communications.
