  1. Look on google or call the pet store. I am guessing not, but you will never know. Good Luck.

  2. There are no freshwater sharks. (although bull sharks can tolerate fresh water)  The ones you see for sale at pet stores are just different types of catfish.

People do keep marine sharks, but you need a very large aquarium and lots of experience.  They're not easy to keep.

  3. No, all freshwater "sharks" are usually catfish and barb like breeds.

The most common is the bala shark

Then you have silver tipped sharks, which are catfish

There are several other catfish and freshwater fish species that LOOK like sharks, but are not sharks.

There are a few saltwater sharks sold on the market, but few are suitable for at home aquariums. Some of the most common species available include nurse sharks. These sharks get HUGE! What are you going to do when your shark is as big as your tank?

The cat shark, or black banded shark, is one of the smallest sharks available for the saltwater aquarium, and it still grows to a sixe of three and a half feet. They need an aquarium of at least 180 gallons or more
