What kind of shoe should i get to wear with dockers? i am starting to teach elem. this yr ...?

what looks good with dockers? i'll be teaching and i want them to look good and be comfy.:)!

If you are talking about khaki dockers, then brown shoes usually go. If they are black dress shoes, then black shoes. I also teach, and I wear brown Eastland mules, and brown Clark dress shoes. Some teachers wear their sneakers (nice ones), too, on really active days like a field trip or field day.

Go for comfort, all the way!  Comfortable sneakers or good comfortable clogs.  The kids don't care what you look like, but pain in your feet is going to make your life miserable!

Okay so I've taught for several years now and I remember first starting with cute shoes - either heels or whatever and was painfully brought back to reality.

I like to follow current styles - I'm in my late 20's - but I also have to get through the day and the shoe that I LOVE and that is ridiculously comfortable and a staple in my wardrobe are my DANSKOS! The clog ones. I'll tell you that all the teachers in my school wear them. It takes a week or so to get used to wearing them because they sort of correct how you walk, but let me tell you that I wear mine every day. I have a black and brown pair. They are durable but a bit pricey - about 110.00 but they do last for a while. They are meant to be looser, like when you walk they will slip on the heel but that's how they are.

My friend wears cute sneaks but I think if you are young, you have to be careful. Some parents won't take you seriously if you are looking exactly like their child. Danskos are super professional.

Any shoe that is comfortable, I have slip on and tie shoes. Some teachers wear tennis shoes.
