What kind of shoes should I wear for graduation?

My graduation robe is gold, and I'm a girl.

I was kind of thinking of wearing heels, but I have this immense fear of tripping on stage, especially since we have to go up stairs.

I also want the shoes to go well with the robe, if possible.

I wore my black heels for my grad. Not the typical pimp shoes.. s**y but still conservative!
