What kind of silicone should i use to prevent rust?

I have new klein hand tools, journeyman series, and i want to prevent them from getting rusted like my previously owned klein Hand tools. What type of spray silicone should i use? How much does it cost? Where can it be bought?

  1. Some of the folks at This Old House use Boeshield T-9 for rust prevention and speak highly of it. Other folks swear by WD-40. If you're looking for silicone, try Slip-it.  There's a silicone-free version that's best for use on tools that will come into contact with woods that will be finished later.

    As long as keep your tools dry and store them in dry conditions you won't have much problem with rust.
