I am a full-time college student already looking to start my own business. But since I am in school I haven't really developed any specific skills in which to start a business. I am just looking for ideas of what everybody thinks a college student would be good at.

  1. I would suggest any type of direct selling business/ company.  You would work as an Independent Contractor and still have the same benefits as being a business owner, including a very low start-up cost and recurring costs.  Find a company that sells something that you love- food, cookware, jewelry, candles and go from there.  I have a full-time job and am an independent contractor for a very popular direct sales company; I work when I'm able or want income.

  3. No matter what your age or experience/skills, I'd always advise you to start a business doing something you love! The reason is simple: there'll be a smaller learning curve - you'll have to learn the business side of things, but at least you'll have a headstart on the actual core stuff.

For example, if you enjoy cooking, you could start a business related to that - catering, cooking "special" items for parties, etc. Or if you enjoy writing, then eBooks would be an obvious starting point for you. And so on.

If you're into sports, do something with that. If you're an avid video-gamer, and good at it, try putting up one of those websites that tell people how to play specific games to get a higher score, etc.

There are hundreds of opportunities. It all depends on what YOU love to do!

    Good luck,
