What kind of small business would earn AT LEAST minimum wage?

I'm stuck in a 9 to 5 job, and I'd really like to get SOME sort of business going... a business where I could at least make minimum wage in profits. Any suggestions? Something online? eBay? Thanks!!

I only have 10 grand saved up =(...but no debt =D

Through hard work and proper marketing, almost any small business should provide you with at least minimum wage.  However, you can't guarantee that whatever you choose will be successful.  The majority of small businesses fold within 5 years of their establishment.

If you don't mind hard work and pounding a lot of pavement, lawn cutting services still do decent business in spite of the economy.  Many folks who start these businesses end up in landscaping, etc after growing beyond their initial goals.  The nice part is, you can start it part time (after work, weekends) and as it grows make it full time.

If you have a hobby, think of ways to turn it into a money-making venture (woodworking - you could make signs, etc. and sell them at farmer's markets).

Take an inventory of your skills, likes and dislikes and go from there.

Just about any small business can earn at least minimum wage.  The amount a business would earn relies solely on what you do with your business and how you acquire customers.  Getting a business to minimum wage is pretty simple to do.

With the amount of money you have saved up, I would look into home based businesses.  10 grand will not cover a traditional start up cost for a business.  It will more then cover start up costs for a home based business.  Most home based businesses cost under $500.  The extra 95 would keep you rolling for quite sometime.
