What kind of snake is this ? it was hatched green but it is turning gray?

need more info. where you live, how you acquired the snake, what color was the egg, etc. anyways its pronanly a garter?

well i think personally it is a Smooth green snake or Rough green snake. It is also very possible it is getting ready to shed. But we do not have enough evidence to give you a valid anser. ( color of egg, where you live, how big is it? )

it could be turning gray b/c it is going through a shed. Snakes usually shed w/in 2 weeks of hatching so my guess from this limited info is it will still be green in a week. We would need more information to confirm anything as we need to know what kind of snake you have, where it came from, etc. Different species of snakes have very different care and information in regards to them.
