What kind of socks do you prefer?

"No show" - quarter socks, or tube socks that stretch up to your knees making you look like Captain Stubing from "The Love Boat"?

I prefer the crew style socks or ankle socks.  I only sometimes use the tube socks during the winter when it's really cold outside.

I prefer the socks which come up to the ankle, and all in black.  These I wear with all my shoes.  When I had the white ones, they seemed to disappear into my wife's side of the closet; she won't touch the black ones.  Then, I have a few white colored ones whick come up the calf--these I use when I mow the lawn or do yard work.  It keeps the ants from crawling up my legs.  And, you know when you lose a sock and don't know what to do with the single?  I keep one under my mattress on my side of the bed.  It's for those nites when wet dreams occur or I have a need to jo.

I don't like the real short ankle socks, but I prefer the crew-style white athletic socks. If I wear colored socks, my feet sweat real bad and make my sneakers stink terribly. I only wear the white. What about you?
