What kind of socks should I wear with dressy shoes?

No pantyhose or black nylons please. If I don't wear socks my feet becomes sweaty and yucky after a few hours.

I am kind of confused as to what is the most comfortable way to wear heels and nice oxfords.

Wear sockettes. They are socks, but are shaped for ballet flats and other shoes so the socks don't show.

Socks with dressy shoes do not seem to go very well.   Pantyhoses are the way to go.  

If you dislike wearing pantyhose, try footies (think these are ones that cover only your feet).
