What kind of spider is a light brown color with long legs and black stripes looking on it's legs???

It made a web from one tree in my front yard to the other. The web is in the air and I need to kill the spider but it's over rose bushes. I need to know that if I swipe it and it lands in the rose bushes it wil be ok...

Probably a garden orb weaver. Don't kill it, please, but if you do move it don't just knock it into the bushes because it will probably rebuild the web right there--just grab the web in a circular motion and you should be able to carry it over to a fence corner or something.
