  1. it's a wolf spider. they can bite but aren't considered dangerous.

  2. I always liked this chart (I got a LOT of spiders when I moved in).

BTW, the wolf spider is poisonous but not lethal, and medical attention should be sought for the elderly or children in particular (source: that web page).

The Brown Recluse (which if you do a google search, is also called the Fiddleback):

How to treat a Brown Recluse bite (never done this, but sounds good, just be sure to get medical attention, there are some nasty photos online of the damage the bugger can wreck....):

And the Brown Widow is being more common in your state apparently (not to scare you):

    And someone mentioned this site:

I don't know if this is something you want to do or not, but to make myself feel better I made a pin board of spiders I caught using a large piece of cardboard and sewing needles. I labeled the board so others would know what it is, and wrote the date under each spider. I let friends and family know about it, and even wrote a short little note on it.

It sounds silly, but I was paranoid enough and the pin board doesn't hurt anyone. I figure if I fall mysteriously ill, a lab might be able to analyze the spiders known to live in my place. *shrug* Even if it's useless, it makes me feel better, so it works.

  3. looks gross.

    Sorry I'm no help!

The are in which you live will help you determine whether that spider is posionous!

    GL!

  4. those pictures suck, but i understand b/c it's through a glass lol i don't blame you... it honestly looks like a brown recluse or a fiddleback... google image that ish and see b/c i can't tell from your pics... i think they're both poisonous and leave nasty *** bites so just kill that bish :D
