Question:

What kind of spider was it??

I believe I was bit by a spider on my index finger. At first it looked like a mosquito bite but then a couple of days later it got bigger and I could see two little bite marks (like fang bites on the top of it.) Now its spreading more and I also have two tiny blisters near the bite. I was just wondering if all spiders make two fang markings when they bite or do only certain spiders do it. Also, do you know the names of spiders that leave markings like that. Any info will help. Thank you

  1. If a spider big enough to leave two little fang marks bit you, you would know it.  There is no mistaking that.  Spider bites don't really leave fang marks unless it is a BIG spider. (4"+)

    It could have been caused by many things. Bed bugs, second degree burns, bad mosquito bites, Staph infections, fungal infections, chemical burns, bad Poison Ivy reactions, herpes, syphilis, contact dermatitis, and many other ailments can leave such a wound.  Such wounds are mild allergic reactions to an irritant or agent introduced onto or into the skin.

    At this time, treat it like a normal blister.  Ignore it, and try not to pop it.  Keep the area clean too.  If you start feeling other affects like fever, difficulty breathing, or the blister does not start to heal within a week of the supposed "bite", then contact a doctor, as it could be a symptom of something much worse.

    If you have to drain it, read the following;

    It's kinda depressing how rationality and authentic research is thumbed down over a collection of shock photos with no authenticity or facts of any kind.
