What kind of spiders in Michigan have spots on their backs?

I have a larger then normal spider that has built a web outside my front door. He has a triangle shape back end with six or so black spots on a white body. He is about 1.5 inches wide and 1 inch long. Does anyone know a website that has spider information on it?
