What kind of starting job can I get with a bachelor's in psychology?

I would prefer a job that has a starting salary of more than 25 thousand

  1. I'm not sure what jobs you can get in the area of psycology, but just having that degree will give you an advantage in management, public relations, actually just about any area.  It looks good that you understand people and human behaviors because of that degree.


  2. an entry level social worker position, either through the state, or a non profit organization. Thats it.  Psychology is a field where you need higher degrees to do anything. You'll be lucky to find anything that will pay you enough to make a decent living. Thats why I went on to get my masters and PhD.  I would start applying to graduate schools.  If you GPA is not higher than a 3.2, take some undergrad courses and try to get it up.  

  3. You can try something in the social work area....depending on the state, you might not need a license. Otherwise, you probably won't be doing anything with your degree, unless you are getting a masters. A BA in Psych is pretty much useless other than to get you a job that just requires a degree (usually, entry level business positions).

    I would consider going back to school, if not now, later down the road.
