  1. i played sweeper in HS and I used both wooden then transfered to composite....the wood was good for slapshots and the composite was good for driving but otherwise there wasnt really a difference

  2. The STX 60/35 Composite Field Hockey Stick features a fiberglass, carbon and aramid composition with more carbon for a stiffer, more powerful stick.  STX's patented cavity head technology keeps drives low and straight by shifting the weight higher up in the toe.  The head shape allows you to easily get under the ball on lifts and shots.  Features minimal hand vibration and a teardrop shaped handle to orientate your hands properly for stick handling ease. Great for defensive players driving the ball long distances up the field.

This is a powerful stick with a pretty cool green design and it's only 109.99 at sports unlimited. Check it out with this link http://www.sportsunlimitedinc.com/stx-60...

    Have fun! =)

  3. A long one!  I couldn't speak knowledgeably regarding the styles currently out there, but give yourself some poke-checking power with a longer shaft.

  4. Grays sticks are really amazing! When I got one, it really transformed my hitting! Any model with a "hook toe" is probably your best bet, as this particular toe is good for stopping the ball. The "maxi toe" would also be acceptable, and this type of toe is much easier to find.

These are the sticks that I would stick to:

    Happy shopping! :)
