  1. to cure it? none. you need rx drops from your dr that you get at a pharmacy.

otc drops don't help pink eye at all

  2. There are no store bought eye drops to cure "pink eye" or conjunctivitis.  The cure is an antibiotic ointment or drops prescribed by a doctor.  If your eye has not been diagnosed as "pink eye" and is only red with no other drainage or just watery, you can try an over the counter eye drop like visine or refresh which takes care of dry eyes.

Caution, if you think it is "pink eye" and are not sure, check with doctor first before using any over the counter drops as these may spread conjunctivitis and cause more harm than good.

  3. Everybody likes a short cut to avoid the doctor. In this case, if you suspect pink eye, it's best to go have it seen. This way you can get started on any drops you may need and get it cleared up quickly. You may be wasting time by trying to use home remedies and worsen the situation.

  4. For the thousandth time, there are no drops available that effectively treat pink eye.  Pink eye is viral 99.9999999% of the time, meaning no amount of antibiotics will touch it.  Antibiotics kill bacteria.  There are no bacteria involved with pink eye.  It's like having a cold in your eye.  You should get it checked out just to make sure it actually IS pink eye, because a having an inflamed eye could mean a lot of things.
