  1. Zyban is an antidepressant, also sold under the name Wellbutrin. As a general rule you should not mix antidepressants unless your doctor specifically decides it's a good idea and prescribes them for you. Since you're also taking Solian, you definitely should not touch as potent a drug as Zyban without talking to your psychiatrist first. Antidepressants can have very unpredictable effects in schizophrenics and it is NOT safe for you to take them unsupervised. Talk to your psychiatrist, I've yet to meet a doctor that isn't happy to help someone quit smoking. It's just a matter of finding a means that is safe given your medical condition.


  2. Bupropion is an atypical antidepressant.  It seems to help some withdraw from a smoking habit more easily, though some newer drugs may help better.  It's often used with other antidepressants, but - as noted above - this is only safe when it's under the care of your doctor.
