Well i was thinking of getting a kenyan sand boa, and i have been to alot of different sites over the internet and i cant get a direct answer. Half the sites say that using sand is a bad idea because it cand get into their eyes or the can swallow it and die, while the other half says that using sand is what they reccomend. I have even seen some people on youtube that have sand for substrate. What do you reccomend.

  1. Use aspen bedding- it is the BEST substrate for any snake. It's clean, absorbent, and snakes can burrow in it. Ingestion isn't a problem with aspen either.
