I have been working out for a little over a 2 months now and I have yet to see any real gains despite my hard workout. Are there any supplements or vitamins or something (no not steriods) that I can take that will help build muscle and decrease the down time for my muscles? Also is the anything that can give me an increase in energy while doing my workouts? I want from real life testemonials or from professionals. I don't want to hear what people have heard or THINK would be good. Have some facts to back it up please.

10 points up for grabs.

Thanks,

  1. YES. There are things *NOT STEROIDS* that will help, first off, creatine, this is a superb supplement that helps your muscles build after you work out. Second, there is Nitric Oxide, it helps pump your muscles for workouts. MY RECOMMENDATION if you are willing to put out a few extra bucks *its worth it* go to the BSN website and order so N.O. Explode, and some CellMass. i think the website something like, bsnonline.com or something like that.... IF you want something cheaper, go to your local GNC and buy some of their creatine, its still not "cheap" but its cheaper and still works great. I don't recommend wal-mart brand creatine, but i guess if thats all your willing to fork out then go for it. hope i helped!

  2. I have been lifting hard for a little over five years and started getting into supplements a couple years ago.  I would say the best thing you can do is take whey protein within in thirty minutes of finishing your workout( you can order it very cheap on bodybuilding.com or massnutrition.com).  You could also try taking 5g of creatine after workouts with your protein, this will help build muscle.  To have more energy for workouts you could try N.O Xplode, it is a little spendy but definitley works.  Another similar product is Universal Schock Therapy, I have only used this once so far but it seemed to give me a good pre workout boost.  It just depends on how much money you want to spend, I switched to shock therapy because it was cheaper but I know for a fact N.O Xplode works.  If you only want to buy one thing make it whey protein, try to consume one gram of protein for every pound you weigh each day (ex. if you weigh 180 eat 180 grams of protein).  Do this with regular food and protein shakes.
