I live in central Florida and wish to add an in ground pool to our home. First off I realize that a pool comes with expense, effort and liability and I am prepared for that. I have found two reputable contractors, one for fiberglass and one for concrete. In fact, they both use the same sub-contractors for decking and screen enclosures and I am confident with either of them. I also realize the fiberglass pool would be quicker to install but that does not concern me. Per square foot, the prices seem identical. They both look very good. I am sure there are pro's and con's to each. But in general, what is the best pool for Florida considering durability, maintenance, etc?

  1. Concrete pools seem as though once you get ground shifting are a nightmare to repair where as fiberglass can be layered and the fiberglass bonds together in a repair much better than trying to bond a concrete repair i think i would go fiberglass
