  1. the Thai iced tea

(to get the same redness of the tea as those from Thailand , mate you 've got to buy the tea from Thailand cos ..according to my mum there are colouring added that is why it is so red!)

but you can make a similar one ...you've got to get BOA tea or any red tea ... but in loose tea leaves ( not the one that is individually pack )

boil the Tea leaves from cold water till it boils ( 1 teaspoon = 1 cup water) . add sugar (make it really sweet, as the milk and ice will dilute the sugar)...set aside and filter it ..

When you want to drink the ice tea.... fill the glass 1 part evaporated milk , 1/2 part thick TEA syrupy , and 4 table spoon sweeten concentrated milk , stir and add ice...and pour a little more evaporated milk at the top of the glass...

  2. I don't know but I'm going to check back on your question because I love Thai iced tea!!

    P.S.  I looked up a few recipes:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_tea

    http://www.blueray.com/thaitea/recipes.h...

    http://www.instructables.com/id/Thai-Ice...

Now I have to go try them!!

  3. Black tea ( also called Red tea ) is used to make Thai Iced tea.

Thai red tea leaves are blended with star anise, cinnamon, and vanilla. The steeped tea then is flavored with sugar, and after being cooled is mixed with cream and often condensed milk for a refreshing creamy drink.
