What kind of teacher would work best for this kind of script?

I honestly cannot decide! It's going to be called Teach Me Right, and it's about a gril who moves from a small town, into a bigger city, and she plays tennis in school. This is her grade 12 year, and she falls in love with a teacher, and I wanted it to be a physed teacher, because this would make sense with the whole tennis thing, I just don't want it to come off cheesy, because sometimes I think if it were an english teacher, the script would seem more edgy? Later on in the script, the girl gets made fun of, and all she really has is her mothers support, and the teachers, but it's dealing with a different perspective.

So yeah, physed teacher, or english?

I agree with the English teacher being less predictable... while I was reading though Guidence counselor popped into my head.

I think a teacher other than phys ed would be less predictable and more interesting.  Maybe a teacher of a class that she's not that good in - that would be an opportunity for some additional friction / conflict.  Good luck!
