What kind of things can you do when you go camping?

A big group of us are going camping tomorrow, but I can't really think of anything to do except play some games and perhaps have a water fight.

I was thinking of taking a guitar so we could maybe have a sing-a-long. Hehe!

Do you have any other suggestions?

There are so many to choose from, board games,   books, to read, swimming, hiking, bicycling, fishing, video games ( psp),deck of cards, voley ball, baseball, so many to choose from, but this might give you some ideas, check this out...

Try to build a floating raft out of drift wood.  

Build an Inukshuk.

Take pocket knifes and have a walking stick carving contest (If you have a patient croud)

Sleep out in the woods over night and make shelters out of stuff you find in the forest.

Take a book of short ghost stories to read around the camp when it starts getting dark. Nothing too scary though.

If you've got plenty of torches, you can go for a night-time ramble. You need a proper leader and someone to bring up the rear to make sure no-one gets left behind. A pair of walkie-talkies is also handy.

If you can find a big rope, you can have a tug-of-war.

I never go camping without my frisbee.  other than that, hikes are great, fishing, just sitting out and drinking by the campfire and telling great stories with your friends.  Oh, and not to sound too perverted, but camping s*x is soooooo good.

Go fishing, take a hike, roast marshmallows, bring some soccerballs or footballs or frisbees and play, bring along a deck of cards..

Well i said to this bloke once "if you woke up in a field, naked and on ya hands and knees, with a sore **** and a used condom sticking out of it, would you tell anyone? He said No bleeding way. So i said"do you fancy coming camping next weekend?" But seriously, camping is brilliant, especially at night,if you are near large woods, go into them early morning and listen to all the weird noises. Can be pretty scary. And you cant beat a nice big fire, sitting round it,drinking and smoking and every now and then chuck a live p**i on it to keep it going and have a laugh as he screams in agony at the same time. Yes i miss my camping days when i was a p**i catcher in down town calcutter in 64.  Making Daisy Chains is good fun as well.

Bring a football or frisbee and a deck of cards in case of rain.

If it is a big group, I would not worry about planning anything.  It will just happen.

But, in the meantime, you will likely - play football, swim, hike, chill, explore nearby towns and attractions, and have a lot of time to just plain enjoy nature, and your friends!

If it is during the day you can go for a trek into the wilderness or set off in two groups one goes to bring back drink and the other goes to buy the food for a special meal.

You can have a competition to see who can set up their tent the fastest and a storytelling session when it gets dark. There are lots of options really.
