Check prices, check client's cash/trading account. Check holdings/nominee holdings.Monitor open trades with regard to settlement dates. Make sure stock is delivered OK. Portfolio valuations. Liase with client.Report prices to client at regular intervals.Write up dealing sheets and check contract notes.Any admin. for holdings such as corporate actions, dividends, fund raising. Maybe check press, SE announcements for anything relevent to clients.Generally make sure all paperwork is done, everything runs smoothly and any errors spotted quickly and put right quickly. Everything except investment advice, unless he is authorised.
