  1. My tip : Don't eat any yellow snow.

  2. It all depends on the location and cost/quality of food.

I have worked at an exceptional Olive Garden before and only got paid 3.45/hr.  I would make 100 a night in tips in the evenings on weekdays.  Afternoon shifts, probably closer to only 50.  Weekends, it didn't matter what shift, I would usually walk out with 125+ per shift.  And that's only given 3 tables.

Then I moved to a smaller town of about 70,000 and waited on more tables at a time, it was a bar/grill that was just starting out, and the food was still being perfected.  Now there, I would come home (at first) with maybe $40.  At the end on the weekends, I worked up to 80-ish, but it's harder when it's a smaller town and not so widely known.

    Hope I was helpful!

  3. Depends on what the clientele is and the type of service you provide. Buffets are the worst since people go there to eat cheap and serve themselves. Upscale places like Chili's can bring in some good tips. Pay attention to your customers and the tips go up.
