Besides muscular and blood, do the heart have nervous tissues??????

  1. Yes, you have bundles of nervous tissue that send impulses from the brain to the heart regulating heart beat.

    Nervous tissue is what sends impulses and tells your body to do something...Beating of the heart is involuntary so you don't have nerve tissue there.

    The epicardium (outer surface) has adipose tissue and mesothelium to cushion and allow the heart to move freely in the pericardium.

    The endocarduim (inner surface) is composed of vascular endothelium and fibrous connective tissue.

    The valves are dense fibrous connective tissue.
