Question:

What kind of tops can i wear a Waist Belt with?

I really want to start wearing tops that i can accessorise with a belt around the waist. I'm having trouble picking tops that i can do this with. Can anyone tell me what sort of tops i can wear belts around the waist with?

- Photos of the sort of tops and links would be great - especially if you could find me tops from Miss Selfridge/Topshop/River Island, etc. That would be excellent and very helpful! :)

Ten points for best answer of course.

Thanks in advance.

  1. Maybe tops that go with leggings, out-going dresses that are quite puffy.. things like that dont wear a belt when you have a necklace on unless its quite small ..it would be too much- you can have other jewellery though.

  2. i would say just plain t shirts or tank tops would work best :)

  3. I think if you wear shirts with cool, funky designs and the belt is just one solid color, it'd look really good. Or the other way around. (Colorful belt, colid colored shirt)

You can also wear the belts with Tank Tops, Tube top.s Really anything will look nice as long as it matches! lol.

  4. Hiya!

I was looking around in google, and if you type in High waist belt in images, you can see what kind of tops they go with most. I would say a lot of long sleeve tops:

& Tops with shoulder detail, that adds width to your shoulders kind of things, see the pic at this link: http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl...

Also I cant post the link but: River Island >> Tops >> Long sleeved Tops.... A lot on the 4th page would go with a high waist belt.

Also Long tops, like with a pair of tights/leggings. But overall I think they look best with long sleeved tops, long tops, & dresses.

Also, at miss selfridge all the tops on the 1st & 2nd row would look amazing with a high waist belt... http://www.missselfridge.com/webapp/wcs/...

    Hope it helped,

  5. Hi Jade! I just started getting into wearing them as well. Longer shirts, those that hit between your waist and mid-thigh are a good choice for a waist belt. Also, while we're on the subject, keep in mind that you can wear these belts higher up above Contrasting colors are fun, and metal or shiny ones (gold or silver) are fun for the dating/club scene. If you're wearing something more professional or wanting to update a casual top, go for the skinny ones, and they can sit on top of the shirt at the waist up to the mid-abdominal area.
