  1. The Empress Tree...

  2. You did not state if you wanted large trees or whether or not they will be close to your home etc.. but this is a list of large, fast growing shade trees that will do good in your area. I have also included information on their size and sunlight preferences.

Balsam poplar- Populus balsamifera, Size 60-80' tall, very intolerant

Sycamore- Platanus occidentalis, Size 100-140' tall, very intolerant

White Ash- Fraxinus americana Size 80-100' tall mid-tolerant

White Ash- Fraxinus pennsylvanica Size 60-80' tall intolerant to intermediate

Red Maple- Acer rubrum Size 70-90' tall mid-tolerant

    Silver Maple-Acer saccharinum 80-100' tall mid-tolerant

You should have no problem finding any of these in a nursery and you get the added bonus of them all being native trees.

  3. a pineapple tree...

  4. I don't if it is the fastest but populars grow very fast.
