  1. The types that I see that prevail are those that have looks, body, and a noteworthy name, A man or woman willing to do anything to get to the top. It's almost like a eugenics based system.

I have a college education and am retired army but yet I have been in instances where I have been denied employment to a company because the short skirt wearing blonde or the male with the flawless face gets in first. They don't have to have any experience, just a name and a body. Very little education follows this concept as well.

My high school teacher used to tell me that I could not prevail in society with a high school diploma. I have gone beyond that, beyond college, and the military, and thus far have gained no ground. I'm losing this battle.

  2. Well I think the genuine garden variety is on the way out - you know the sort that was a 'jack of all trades' and talked to their neighbours, helped their neighbour, let them help them out in return and could and could cook and clean for themselves.

A lot of people now a days have highly specialised jobs, ignore their neighbours and eat out a lot and have someone else do their house cleaning and ironing for them. They are very concerned with image and wouldn't know what substance was if it hit them in the face.  And are scared to have babies naturally.

I'm from the garden variety type and I must admit I don't much  like the 'new' varieties of men and women.

  3. both men and women have ceased to learn the routine tasks of everyday living.  many women cannot cook (from "scratch" for instance), many men cannot fix a car or do routine maintenance.

i find this somewhat disturbing.  ours has become a "throwaway" society, fixing problems with pills, discarding items that could or should be repaired.  this "throwaway" mentality is most disturbing in the way relationships can be discarded at a whim, marriage, friendship, family, switching jobs the moment a conflict arises, all the while espousing a "green" slogan of earth awareness.

mulitracial individuals will soon overtake single ethnicity persons with globalization.  racial equality may still be far in the future, but acceptance of these multiracial citizens is implicit due to their sheer numbers.

within 100 years you will see a variety of changes, mostly economic and also demographic with changing populations, immigration, migration and reproduction choices (lower rates of birth).  along with previously unimagined advances in technology across all fields .

this world's problems are only eclipsed by man's perseverance and adaptability to solve and overcome any and all barriers.

for every problem, there is a solution, perhaps never yet imagined, but a solution will be found for the world's economic, geographic, climactic, genetic and agricultural dilemmas.

at the same time, the machine of war will become far more efficient and deadly, wreaking havoc heretofore unimagined, yet with the media and public involvement peace will probably ultimately prevail, but there will still be pockets of rampant warfare and genocide at times.

religion will become more mature, faiths that are in their infancy (so to speak) will become more secure in their place in the world, there will still be fanaticism, but as the centuries and millenia pass, greater acceptance and less violence will prevail as well as a greater availability of equal rights for women and children as the demographics change and the religions become more moderate.

remember the crusades?  um that was a few hundred years ago, very bloody and violent.  yet the catholic church is now seen as very benevolent.....so it shall be with the other faiths that are experiencing "growing pains".

wealth built upon unearned mineral resources will be replace by wealth built by ingenuity and regular commerce, as the resources become more scarce and the citizens demand more equality.

    gosh i love this question.....

if you are wondering, for millenia, they have been predicting some major global calamity.  we've had a few, but none that were apocalyptic.  i think we will survive for centuries with some tragedies but also much growth and advancement.

  4. It depends on what type of society you're referring to. If high society, you'll mostly find wealthy, hard working men and women living a problem free life. If low society, you'll mostly find people struggling, trying everything they could to make a living, even if breaking the law is their 'only' option. I'm not saying that a high society don't break rules, but very seldom does it happen. I don't find myself in a high society, so I usually people around my neighborhood drop out of school. In the future, I'd say people would go unchanged.
