I have a psp, trying to load a movie on it to watch. What kind of formats are acceptable to play on the psp. If I have to change the format, what is a good software for that application.

  1. PSP only support MP4 videos. You should make your videos MP4 format. There is a guide for your PSP, it works well. This guide contains two parts:

Part1. How to rip DVD and convert MOV/AVI/WMV/ASF/Divx/Xvid/MPEG/RM to PSP video format.

Part2. How to upload/transfer PSP files to your PlayStation Portable (PSP).

Also, you can search some other converter:

  2. mp4-eg

  3. xilisoft video converter is a perfect app to convert vids but it cost alot, but go here(Katz.cd) and search for it and theyll give u whatever free apps u want without having to join up or pay, and psp plays mp4 and umd

  4. The PSP reads the video encoding MPEG-4 (MP4). That's what everyone uses. If you are looking for a good converter, by all means I would recommend PSP VC ( http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1463 ), that has all the good stuff, has a preview of the video as seen on PSP, and you can add subtitles. Just to say that "PSP Video 9", the other well-known software, contains spyware, just if you want to know. My scanner (Avast!) picked it up and someone else's scanner did too.

  5. you can find things like this out pluss many more interesting things about the psp here at http://dwnlds4u.net
