What kind of vine has large stalks and covers areas densely?

I saw this vine completely covering a walk through tunnel made of wire. You couldn't even see out it was so thick. It's like a tree that climbs and intertwines. I really like it. Some tell me it's a wysteria? any guesses?

it could be a wisteria they have long umbels of blue flowers, another one similar to your description is summer jasmin which,in the uk, has small white scented flowers and is very profuse
