I have this vine in my backyard, and it looks exactly like this:

It has thin stems with ivy-like leaves and tiny yellow flowers. The flowers then have matured to these small, green pods. I actually ate one. It tasted like a cucumber/watermelon and had thin, white seeds like a cucumber or watermelon. What is this?

  1. Mia your vine is a Cucumber.  They will come up if Cucumber or seed  has been dropped on ground in the fall.  See link below

  2. The flowers look like cucumbers or pumpkins or zucchini or melons - also the leaves. There are also some decorative pumpkins that look like this. It shouldn't be anything poisonous or toxic, but wait until the 'green pods' grow before eating some more:-)

    P.S. I like your silver ring! :-)

  3. I dont know what it is...but it probably wasn't a good idea to eat it if you didn't know what it was.
