What kind of volunteer opportunities can everyone recommend to me?

I am seriously thinking about Big Brothers, Big Sisters because I really enjoy kids. Anything other kinds of programs that a 20 year old male may be interested in?

I would suggest you think about what kind of work you'd like to do or what kind of cause you are interested in. The previous responder gave a few ideas.

   If you love animals, volunteer at an animal shelter. If you like older people volunteer at a rest home, if you love kids volunteer at a community center, if you care about the enviroment get involved with one of those groups, etc.

Volunteers are needed at hospitals, churches, food banks, nursing homes, libraries, police stations, rec centers, animal shelters, homeless shelters, Habitat for Humanity, schools, Red Cross, state parks.

Volunteer firefighter.  You'll meet people in your community and maybe get trained in first aid.

homeless.aids,disabled hospice,elder care,poor hungry,local church, local healthcare,local charities or food bank coop.
