I was sitting on my couch early in the morning when I looked up on my window screen and seen a wasp like creature. I got a picture of it, It is a very long wasp like creature. It looked like 2 wasps at first, but when I looked closer it was all one. It's black and has yellow on the legs, long wings like a wasp, a face like a wasp and a body like a wasp, 3 sections and the body and bottom look to be the size of a normal wasp. It also has a long black singer on the bottom. If anyone can please help me identify it I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

  2. The long black "stinger" is actually an ovipositor for depositing its eggs.  It might be a mud-dauber wasp.

  3. can you post a foto?  or else, look in google images, put in wasp, maybe large wasp, black, yellow legs, and maybe whatever country you live in.  it's so hard to guess what kind without seeing a foto....
