What kind of watch would you like for your birthday?

Looking to buy a very nice gift for that special someone. He has abotu 6 other watches but he loves them. So he has everything from a rolex to one that is a touch screen. I want to get him one with a leather strap since he doesn't have one. But I don't know much about watches...what would you want? Something under $400

Tag Heuer or Luminox are always my faves. I gave up on leather straps years ago, because they wear out when you are active and sweat destroys them.

My latest is a titanium chronograph and it rocks! It is soooooo light weight, matte gray, scratch resistant, impervious to most elements, and did I mention it rocks!

I mean it's no Rolex, but I am soooo over heavy watches. Anything in titanium under $400 would be a Saweeeet gift. :D The Luminox 3101 is next on my list.

I bought a Timex Expedition watch with an imitation leather strap about ten years ago and it keeps very excellent time I believed it cost me about $20 00

Whichever style you go for  get a watch made by a watchmaker not a fashion house.

I've had a Tag Heuer for 13 years and its still looks almost new and has taken plenty of knocks.

I'm not sure what you'd get for $400 but why not look at a sporty watch that he could wear for more relaxed knocking about in swimming ,beach etc.

That way instead of having a cheaper dressy watch he would have an expensive leisure watch.

I also like the idea of an antique watch,how about a hunter?

i love watches too, if hes into them i would go to an antique shop and get him a nice old watch with a leather strap for your budget, he would appreciate it more than a new one.

Just got a Sturling Automatic as a personal birthday gift to myself. Its awesome. Also, you can always get a nice Invicta for under $400.

i recommend a compass watch...

i also really recommend the nautica compass watches and they r really really nice.....and they r not too expensive but they shud b...heres a link....that wud b a great pick...they r really called Chronograph watches but....its $225 great price for that watch.....good luck..if u want theres much more on the nautica website

Movado, my favorite watches at the moment. I have on, I'm a female, but I'm sure you can google them and check out the mens watches. They start around the low to mid 200's.
