what is the temperature and does it rain much in july at cancun. In other words what type of weather do they have.

There is a nice tropical breeze flowing off the ocean and Cancun does not get as hot as some other places.

Keep in mind you are right smack in the middle of hurricane season.

Its always hot in Cancun.

Hurricanes "Wilma" was named on the 15 th of October and died shortly after hammering Cancun as a category 5.

July will be the beggining of the rainy season but not much rain yet.

It will be hot and very humid.  So what ! !

Just go to the beach.   Right on the beach it is windy and the breeze is wonderful, blue sky, crystal clear water and beautiful white sand.

Enjoy it.  I always do.

You should also go to the shady cenotes to swim.

(The underground caverns near Cancun),  this is a "must" to snorkel or dive into these spectacular underground caves.  They are called  cenotes.

Enjoy your trip.  There are so many things to see and to do,  weather is  not important.
